Knowlegde is Power.

In the book of  Hosea it says that my people  perish  becaue of lack of  knowledge. This was one of the verse  that  got me thinking  outside the box . Take a moment and ponder about this verse then  ask yourself  how much knowlegde have you denied  youself based on what you have heard  from  other people  without even trying to look into things for   yourself .I am sure  that  many  of the  people who call them selves  christians out there today who just  follow the  religion blindly  without fully understanding the teachings behind the  bible . I used to be one of them until i broke that  wall of  ignorance and fear that  society has us all in. I had so many questions  within  me  that  kept tugging for answers and i was just not  getting any satisfiying  answers from my pastors or fellow  brethen. It was not until i stepped outside that box that things  began to get more  clear.

There are  so many topics that i  would like to talk about but today i will focus on the pagan  holiday that is just around  the coner  which many of us  have no knowlegde about. I have  always  wondered  what a  decorated  tree, a fat-white-beared  man  who  comes down  your chimey with gifts have to do with the  birth of the Messiah. It was not until i started doing some personal research which i believe we led by the Spirit that i discovered  a lot of things that  we  are as chrisitains today praticse are not in line with the  teachings of the bible . Below is a brief summary of  what i learned so far, feel free to leave a comment and  share  your thoughts so that we can  benefit from each  other as Iron sharpenth iron.

The Real Un-Told History (T.R.U.T.H) about Christmas.

Many people today around the world celebrate this holiday without even questioning its origins. I will shed some light on this topic based on my personal research and I would advise that you don’t take my word and DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!! Let this be an eye opener. So lets hit the nail on the head .

Christmas a time of celebration and exchanging of gifts. It is celebrated by over 2billion people worldwide. It has become such an ingrained part of modern culture that even people in nations with little or no christian history or tradition are celebrating it in increasing numbers. But what is this ‘holiday’ really about ?
In ancient times Roman pagans first introduced the holiday Saturnalia, a week long period of lawlessness celebrated between December 17th to the 25th.During this period, the Romans courts were closed, and Roman law dictated that no one could be punished for damaging property or injuring people during the weeklong celebration (thats where the ideas of the movie the Purge was adapted). The festival began when Romans authorities chose ‘’an enemy of the Roman people ‘’ to represent the ‘’Lord of misrule.’’Each Roman community selected a victim whom they forced to indulge in food and other physical pleasures throughout the week. At the festivals’ conclusion, December 25th, Roman authorities believed that they were destroying the forces of darkness by brutally mudering innocent men and women. The ancient Greek writer poet and historian Lucian( in his dialogue entitled Saturnalia) describes the festivals’ observance in his time. In addition to human sacrifices, he mentions these customs: widespread intoxication; going from house to house while singing naked; rape and other sexual acts were also common; People also consumed human-shaped biscuits (still produced in some English and German bakers during the Christmas season) .
In the 4th century CE, christianity imported the saturnalia festival hoping to take the pagan masses in with it .Christian leaders succeeded in converting the large numbers of pagans to christianity by promising them that they could continue to celebrate the saturnalia as christians. The problem was there was nothing christian about saturnalia. So to remedy this the christian leaders named saturnalia concluding day, December 25th to be the birth of Jesus Christ. But today we know from both christianity and islamic texts that Jesus was not born on this day . This was just used as a trick to make the christians feel okay with celebrating this pagan holiday. Take some time to think about the customs associated with Christmas. What do decorated evergreen trees, holly, mistletoe and Santa Claus have to do with the birth of Jesus Christ ? The fact is none of these things have anything to do with him, and people just celebrate Christmas today with ignorance without looking into the dark history behind it !
Chemosh was a pagan deity represented with a huge iron statue in the shape of a man seated on a throne with a large belly, its hands extended out as though it was ready to receive something.People at that time worshipped this pagan idol as the god of prosperity. They would make a list of all the things that they wanted (similar to the list parents ask their children to write for Santa today) During the winter solstice of December 25th,people would then line up with their children and their lists. The statue of Chemosh would then b heated up (as it was made of cast iron). It was said that the statue would get so hot it would turn red! Then those who worshipped this idol would sacrifice their children and babies into the burning hands of the statue hoping to receive what was on their list in return! Many people believe that the demon which was worshiped ( behind this pagan idol) was Krampus. A horned devil who was associated with taking children and putting them in his bag. The Santa that is popularised today is a mix between many evils from the past and a character called saint Nick. All Christmas activities, including dancing, seasonal plays, games ,singing carols, cheerful celebration and especially drinking alcohol were banned by the puritan dominated parliament of England in !1644, Christmas trees and decorations were considered to be unholy pagan rituals, and the Puritans also banned traditional Christmas foods such as pudding and mince pies. Puritan laws required that stores and businesses remained openly day on Christmas, and town cries walked through the streets on Christmas Eve, calling “no Christmas , no Christmas!” The ban on the holiday was lifted in 1660, when Charles II took over the throne. However the puritan presence remained in New England and Christmas did not become a legal holiday there until 1856.Gradually people started to embrace the customs of this pagan holiday once again.
Christmas is not mentioned in anywhere in the bible or in any christian teachings .This is rather obvious, but most people never give it a second thought. The books of the new testament covers over 30 years of the life of Jesus Christ, then another 30+ years of the early church following his ascension, but nowhere will you find any hint of a Christmas celebration or anything remotely like it. But you do however find in the old testament where God warned about the custom of this pagan tradition Jeremiah chapter 10:2-4: “Do not learn the ways of the nations . . . For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.”And Jesus Christ also warned about how people put their tradition over the laws of God in Mark 7:8 it says ” You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
Many parents today will always come up with a lot of excuses why they celebrate this holiday, and this is how this pagan tradition is continually passed on from generation to generation.

We have to stop being ignorant ,wake up and stop passing down pagan tradition of men to our descendants. Instead we are to hold fast to the commandment of the Most High. There is a famous bible quote from the book of Hosea 4:6 that says “ My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” May the Almighty God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob have mercy on us all for putting our traditions over His commandments.
